We offer internship and apprenticeship programs which provide valuable opportunities for students to gain practical experience and develop skills in their chosen fields. Internships provide students and recent graduates with hands-on exposure to industries, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings. Apprenticeships, on the other hand, focus on technical trades, providing comprehensive training and mentorship to acquire specialized skills. Both internships and apprenticeships enhance employability, facilitate networking, and serve as stepping stones to successful careers.

The incubator is managed by Hano Academy under a pilot project, aimed at reducing the rate of unemployment, especially among the youth in Somalia. Studies show that over 70% of the youth in Somalia are unemployed, making them a ready target for radicalization due to limited access to job opportunities. Others indulge in drug abuse and crime, thereby affecting the reconstruction and growth of post-crisis Somalia. Hano Academy was contracted to implement the project, which entailed managing the Saanqaad Business Incubator (SBI) and implementing all activities related to the Business incubator. During the past eight months of the contract, our team has served more than 1,600 beneficiaries through a series of activities at the incubator. Examples of activities include the provision of business support, services, capacity-building training, coaching and mentoring, employment opportunities, and business networking. Towards the end of the pilot phase, the team organized a Business Innovation Challenge in which entrepreneurs-in-the-making presented their business ideas in a competition, with the winner being awarded $500
